Volunteering is the cornerstone of our work here at Heal and we invite you and your team to join us at our 460-acre foundation rewilding site, Heal Somerset.
Research has shown that providing volunteer opportunities not only makes your organisation more attractive to potential employees, but also improves employee retention . Spending the day away from the office and connecting with nature is great for wellbeing and is an enriching and energising learning experience’. Volunteering at Heal Somerset will help you meet your CSR sustainability goals and demonstrate your corporate commitment to people and wildlife, whilst also giving back to the community. The activities we offer strengthen team morale, enhance teamwork and create a sense of purpose whilst out in nature.

Your day volunteering
We offer a range of options for corporate volunteering including land management, wildlife surveys and site maintenance. With your team in mind, we build a volunteer day to suit your objectives, filled with meaningful tasks and activities that promote connection to nature. Each volunteering day will include a tour of our site and an introduction to the work we do here at Heal Somerset. We can also facilitate meetings, workshops or panel discussions in our 17th century farmhouse.
As a charity, corporate volunteering provides crucial support and helps us maintain the site. Your visit will have a direct impact on preserving space for nature and rewilding our countryside. To cover the cost of planning, materials, tools and staff time, we ask for a contribution to take part in our corporate volunteering days. Your donations allow us to continue protecting and nurturing wildlife, as well as supporting our charitable objectives including valuable work with local community groups, schools and other charities.

Full day - £50 per person minimum 8 people or £400, maximum 20 people
Half day - £25 per person, minimum 8 people or £200, maximum 20 people

A recent visit from Ticket Tailor
We were thrilled to host our partners Ticket Tailor, who enthusiastically took part in our baseline worm surveys. Their contributions are crucial in understanding the history of the land and for monitoring the progress of our rewilding site.
Room hire
Our interconnecting meeting room and commercial-grade kitchen are available for hire by the hour, the cost of which is removed if you book a full day with us. Talk to us about arranging time for a meeting or panel discussion during your volunteer day.​
