Terms and Conditions

Friends of Heal

If you're reading this, you've probably become, or are about to become, a Friend of Heal. Before you read on, we just want to say thank you!

Friends of Heal – terms and conditions

A Friend of Heal subscription is valid for 12 months from the start date, which is normally the date of the subscription donation unless otherwise agreed at the time of joining (e.g. when a gift Friend of Heal subscription is made).

Heal has the right to decline a Friend of Heal subscription at any time.

Friend of Heal subscription benefits and offers are available to Friends from the day of joining.

A Friend of Heal family subscription is for named parents or grandparents and any number of children or grandchildren aged 4-17 years directly related to, legally adopted by or fostered by the named adult members who live at the same address.

Children not directly related to adult members (e.g. nieces and nephews, or children in the care of a childminder) are not included.

A Friend of Heal family subscription does not cover children or accompanying adults if they are part of a paid, pre-booked education visit to a site or any other paid activity such as an event. Such visits are not included in Friend of Heal subscription benefits.

A Friend of Heal subscription will be considered to have lapsed when due payment, either annually or monthly, has not been made.

No refund will be given when a Friend of Heal subscription is cancelled before the end of the 12-month Friend of Heal subscription period.

You may not transfer a Friend of Heal subscription. Only a Friend of Heal subscriber may enjoy Friend of Heal subscription benefits. Heal reserves the right to verify a Friend’s identity when using a benefit to protect bona fide Friends’ interests and to ensure the Friend of Heal subscription scheme is not abused.

A Friend who converts to Lifetime Friend of Heal subscription is not entitled to a refund of any outstanding balance on an existing annual Friend of Heal subscription unless otherwise agreed with the Heal office.

Friend of Heal subscriptions and our foundation site

Entry to the Heal foundation site is free with an optional donation. Friends of Heal will be regarded as already having donated, though a further donation will always be most welcome.

The foundation site has its own terms and conditions of entry and are to be regarded as additional terms applying to a Friend subscription.

When the foundation site opens in 2023, visitor information and terms and conditions relating to site visits will be available on the Heal website.

Any breach of the site terms and conditions and other stipulations may mean that you or any family members or friends with you are refused entry or asked to leave.

A Friend of Heal subscription does not entitle Friends to a discount in our site shop or café.

Unaccompanied children may not visit centres irrespective of whether they are family or junior members.

Heal reserves the right to cancel a Friend of Heal subscription where a Friend has acted in breach of the ‘Visitor information and associated terms and conditions of entry’ at Heal’s site.
